Featuring acclaimed Canadian pianist Louis Lortie, known for his precision and “monster technique” (Los Angeles Times), the performance invites audiences on a spirited journey from the aristocratic sweep of the polonaise and the rustic poetry of the mazurka to the shimmering Andante spianato and Grande polonaise brillante, crowning an evening where intense national character and personal expression intersect.
