 ation as a versatile musician\, acclaimed for the fresh perspective and in
 dividuality he brings to the grand masters of the piano repertoire. In dem
 and on five continents for more than 30 years\, Lortie performs with leadi
 ng orchestras and in major concert halls worldwide. A prolific recording a
 rtist\, he has produced more than 45 recordings for Chandos Records featur
 ing core piano literature.\n\nLortie has longstanding relationships with t
 he BBC Symphony Orchestra and BBC Philharmonic\, appearing frequently at t
 he BBC Proms. In Canada\, he has regularly performed with major orchestras
  in Montreal\, Toronto\, Vancouver\, Ottawa and Calgary. A close collabora
 tor of Kurt Masur\, he appeared with the Orchestre National de France and 
 the Gewandhaus Orchestra\, and he has also worked with The Philadelphia Or
 chestra\, Dallas Symphony Orchestra\, St. Louis Symphony and others worldw
 ide. In recital\, Lortie appears at venues including Wigmore Hall\, Philha
 rmonie de Paris\, Concertgebouw and Carnegie Hall and is noted for complet
 e cycles of Liszt\, Chopin and Beethoven. His discography includes works b
 y Chopin\, Beethoven\, Ravel and Liszt.\n\nLortie is co-founder and artist
