Grand Piano Series celebrates 10 years with 10 concerts

Grand Piano Series, led by President and Artistic Director Milana Strezeva, is celebrating 10 years with 10 crowd-rousing concerts, in a continuing partnership with Artis—Naples.
This 10th season’s evening performances present more local debuts and two welcome returns of internationally renowned performers.
“We are excited to present all seven of our evening performances in the Myra Janco Daniels Pavilion this season,” Strezeva said. “Daniels has theater-style seating, wonderful acoustics and, now, a screen projecting each pianist’s hands.”
Audiences will also enjoy the Director of Education and Community Engagement Konstantin Soukhovetski’s Narrative Musicales to Artis—Naples’ intimate Ubben Signature Event Space in the afternoon.
Those Narrative Musicales are hourlong, intermission-less, immersive multimedia performances featuring audio, video and an emcee, who entertains while bringing music history to life.
Soukhovetski raises the season’s curtain early, on Oct. 22, with “Classics in Hollywood,” the stories and scores behind some of the silver screen’s most memorable moments.
Natasha Paremski, a Naples Philharmonic alum, opens the Daniels Pavilion evening series on Nov. 6 with a contemporary and classical performance, showcasing a fearless technique that London Classical Source called “fiery and wildly dynamic.”
The Aznavoorian Sisters, Ani on cello and Marta on piano, bring their unique sibling synergy to a Dec. 4 program spanning Brahms, Debussy and their native Armenian and Spanish folk songs.
Dec. 17 brings a new side of The Nutcracker to a holiday season Narrative Musicale, as Soukhovetski reveals the dark twists of E. T. A. Hoffmann’s original 1816 fairy tale while performing Tchaikovsky’s iconic score synced with rare ballet footage.
Previous Naples Philharmonic guest Benjamin Grosvenor returns to Naples on Jan. 15 for a program of piano masterpiece: Beethoven’s evocative “Moonlight” Sonata and Ravel’s virtuosic “Gaspard de la nuit.”
American pianist Reed Tetzloff returns to Grand Piano Series on Feb. 5 with a varied program from Satie to Chopin and Gershwin.
Russian pianist Alexandra Dovgan makes her American debut with Grand Piano Series on March 12. Her program journeys from the lyricism of Chopin to the modern virtuosity of Prokofiev.
Evren Ozel, bronze medalist of the 17th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in 2025, returns to Grand Piano Series with a solo performance on April 9, after an April 7 Sypert Salon Series Mozart chamber program with musicians of the Naples Philharmonic.
April 30 brings the ATOS Trio: violinist Annette von Hehn, with cellist Stefan Heinemeyer and pianist Thomas Hoppe. Together for more than two decades, the trio has established itself as one of the world’s premier piano trios.
Bookending his season-opening Narrative Musicale, Soukhovetski returns on May 13 with the whimsical “America the Bassooniful,” where Eleni Katz brings the bassoon’s surprisingly full range to life on a journey through the soundscapes of American music from Gershwin to Bernstein.
