  BIS label.\n\n\n\n\nThe Israeli violinist appears regularly with major or
 chestras such as the Berlin Philharmonic\, Boston Symphony\, Chicago Symph
 ony\, Cleveland Orchestra\, Israel Philharmonic\, Leipzig Gewandhaus\, Lon
 don Symphony\, Orchestre de Paris\, Philadelphia Orchestra\, and the Royal
  Concertgebouw. Gluzman has enjoyed collaborations with many of today’s 
 leading conductors\, including Semyon Bychkov\, Riccardo Chailly\, Sir And
 rew Davis\, Christoph von Dohnányi\, Neeme Järvi\, Paavo Järvi\, Hannu 
 Lintu\, Tugan Sokhiev\, Michael Tilson Thomas\, Jukka-Pekka Saraste. His f
 estival appearances include performances at Lockenhaus\, Ravinia\, Tanglew
 ood\, and Verbier\, as well as the North Shore Chamber Music Festival in C
 hicago\, founded by Gluzman and pianist Angela Yoffe\, his wife and recita
 l partner.\n\nHighlights of his 2019-20 season include performances with O
 rchestre de Paris under Tugan Sokhiev and the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra in
  Carnegie Hall\, concerts with the BBC Philharmonic\, Detroit and Houston 
 Symphony Orchestras\, St. Petersburg Philharmonic\, HR Frankfurt Radio Sym
 phony\, Lucerne Symphony\, Dresden Philharmonic\, Iceland Symphony\, Staat
 skapelle Weimar\, and Orchestre National de Lyon. He will lead performance
 s with the Moscow Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra and the ProMusica Chamber Orc
 hestra in Columbus\, Ohio\, where he serves as Creative Partner and Princi
 pal Guest Artist. Also this season\, Mr. Gluzman will give the world premi
 ere performances of a new violin concerto by Erkki-Sven Tüür with the HR
  Frankfurt Radio Symphony under Andris Poga\, Joshua Roman’s Double Con
 certo with the ProMusica Chamber Orchestra\, conducted by David Danzmayr\
 , Moritz Eggert’s Mir mit Dir commissioned by the Kronberg Academy to 
 celebrate Beethoven’s 250th anniversary year\, as well as UK premiere of
  Sofia Gubaidulina’s Triple Concerto with BBC Philharmonic under Omer 
 Meir Wellber. He has given live and recorded premieres of other works by S
 ofia Gubaidulina\, as well as Giya Kancheli\, Elena Firsova\, Pēteris Vas
 ks\, Michael Daugherty\, and most recently Lera Auerbach. Vadim Gluzman’
 s latest CD for the BIS label features Brahms’ Violin Concerto in D majo
 r with the Lucerne Symphony conducted by James Gaffigan and includes the c
 omposer’s Sonata No.1 for Violin and Piano\, performed with pianist Ange
 la Yoffe.\n\nAccolades for his extensive discography include the Diapason 
 d’Or of the Year\, Gramophone’s Editor’s Choice\, Classica magazi
 ne’s Choc de Classica award\, and Disc of the Month by The Strad\, BBC
  Music Magazine\, ClassicFM\, and others. Born in the former Soviet Union
  in 1973\, Gluzman began violin studies at age 7. He studied with Roman Š
 nē in Latvia and Zakhar Bron in Russia before moving to Israel in 1990\, 
 where he became a student of Yair Kless. In the United States\, he studied
  with Arkady Fomin in Dallas and at the Juilliard School with Dorothy DeLa
 y and Masao Kawasaki. Early in his career\, Gluzman enjoyed the encouragem
 ent and mentorship of Isaac Stern which continued until Stern’s passing 
 in 2001. Mr. Gluzman serves as Distinguished Artist in Residence at the Pe
 abody Conservatory in Baltimore and teaches at the Keshet Eilon Internatio
 nal Music Center in Israel. He performs on the legendary 1690 ‘ex-Leopol
 d Auer’ Stradivari on extended loan to him through the generosity of the
  Stradivari Society of Chicago.\n\nANGELA YOFFE\, Piano  Pianist\, produc
 er\, and educator Angela Yoffe\, is widely admired for her dazzling musici
 anship and passion for music education. Yoffe is the founder and executive
  director of The Music Makers\, an international organization that produce
 s Chicago’s annual North Shore Chamber Music Festival\, the Music Makers
  Israel\, and the Arkady Fomin Scholarship Fund\, which has provided early
  career support\, guidance\, and inspiration to more than 25 gifted young 
 artists from around the world interested in pursuing a career as a perform
 er. Yoffe is also the founder of the Collaborative Piano Class at the Chic
 ago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University. Her Creative Learn
 ing Program has led collaborative projects with the International Center o
 n Deafness and the Arts and the Lurie Children’s hospital. Angela Yoffe 
 has performed as a chamber musician and recitalist in New York\, Washingto
 n\, Chicago\, San Francisco\, Dallas\, London\, Berlin\, Paris\, Tel Aviv\
 , Geneva\, Rome and Tokyo among others. She has appeared as soloist with t
 he Seattle Symphony\, the Omaha Symphony\, SWR Stuttgart Radio Orchestra\,
  the Hamburg Symphony and with New York’s Jupiter Symphony under the bat
 ons of Andrey Boreyko\, Gerard Schwarz\, Jens Nygaard\, and other leading 
 conductors.\n\nYoffe has been invited to perform at the Verbier Festival i
 n Switzerland\, Lockenhaus Festival in Austria\, Festival de Radio France\
 , Schleswig-Holstein Festival\, Colmar Festival in France\, MIDEM Festival
 \, Ravinia Festival\, Pablo Casals Festival in Puerto Rico\, the Schwetzin
 gen Festspiele\, and the Bantry Festival in West Cork. Angela Yoffe record
 s exclusively for BIS Records and her discography includes a recent album 
 of Sergey Prokofiev’s Violin and Piano Sonatas with violinist Vadim Gluz
 man. Her world premiere recording of Lera Auerbach’s “24 Preludes for 
 Violin and Piano” (composed for Ms. Yoffe and Mr. Gluzman) was released 
 on BIS Records to rave reviews\, as well as their other albums: “Time an
 d Again\,” “Ballet for a Lonely Violinist\,” and “Fireworks”. Ms
 . Yoffe was born in Riga\, Latvia into a family of respected musicians. Af
 ter studying piano performance in the Soviet Union and Israel\, she contin
 ued with Joaquín Achúcarro and Jonathan Feldman in the United States and
  became an assistant to Dorothy DeLay at the Juilliard School of Music. An
