DESCRIPTION:\n\nDominic Cheli’s playing has been described as “spontan
 eous yet perfect\, the best of how a young person can play.” (Symphony M
 agazine). His rapidly advancing career included his Walt Disney Concert Ha
 ll Debut where Dominic was described as “mesmerizing\, (he) transfixed t
 he audience…his fingers were one with each key.” (LA Times). He gave h
 is Carnegie Hall Recital Debut in 2019 with a return appearance in January
  2023.\n\nHe recently recorded his 2nd CD on the Naxos label of the music 
 of Liszt/Schubert\, and has enjoyed his role as performer\, producer and m
 usic editor for an upcoming all-Schulhoff CD on the Delos label scheduled 
 for a Fall 2022 release. This album features a special collaboration on Sc
 hulhoff’s Piano Concerto No.2 with Maestro James Conlon. He also recentl
 y completed work as a composer on the documentary Defying Gravity (2021).\
 n\nWith a fascination and appreciation for the benefits of technology espe
 cially in our new virtual age\, Dominic was appointed Live Director of Ton
 ebase Piano. As a result\, he is the host and presenter of numerous virtua
 l events each month to the 4\,000+ subscribers on the platform.  As an ed
 ucator\, Dominic is on faculty of the Colburn Community Music School and s
 trives for his students to be imaginative\, knowledgeable and have healthy
  relationships with their instruments.\n\nIn his spare time\, Dominic enjo
 ys cooking and training for Ironman triathlons.\n\n\n\n\nProgram\n\n\n\n\n
 \n\n\n\n\n\nThis delightful and diverse program features beloved music of 
 the opera and vocal repertory through the lens of piano virtuosity of Olym
