 n\n\n\n\n\nAriel Lanyi was honored with the Prix Serdang\, a Swiss prize a
 warded by Austrian pianist Rudolf Buchbinder in recognition of a young pia
 nist’s achievements and future potential. The prize is endowed with CHF 
 50\,000 and is not a competition but a distinction for artistic promise.\n
 \nLanyi won third prize at the 2021 Leeds International Piano Competition\
 , performing Brahms’ Concerto No. 2 with the Royal Liverpool Philharmoni
 c Orchestra under Andrew Manze\, and he was also a winner of the Young Cla
 ssical Artists Trust International Auditions. He has appeared with orchest
 ras including the Mahler Chamber Orchestra\, Mozarteumorchester Salzburg\,
  Israel Philharmonic\, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra\, Sinfonia V
 iva and City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.\n\nHis recording of Schuber
 t for Linn Records received critical acclaim. His album Organ Reflections
 \, featuring piano works inspired by the organ by Mozart\, Franck and Rege
 r\, was also released to strong critical response.\n\nAn active chamber mu
 sician\, Lanyi has attended the Marlboro Festival and collaborated with ar
 tists including Maria João Pires\, Marina Piccinini\, Charles Neidich\, A
 lena Baeva and Torleif Thedéen. Recitals have included Wigmore Hall\, Fun
 dación Juan March\, Grafenegg Festival\, Bravo! Vail and Merkin Hall. Bor
